Media officials under probe

Zhang Qinyun, general manager of Hubei Daily Media Group, became the latest media executive under investigation for suspected corruption, the Hubei Department of Supervision said on Monday.

The 44-year-old was removed from his post on suspicion of serious discipline violations. The term "serious discipline violation" often refers to corruption.

Zhang joined Hubei Daily in 1990 after graduating from Hubei University, and he became the media group's general manager in November 2011. He has been under investigation since April 1, according to the department.
