Juice group joins tea, coffee market with Suntory buy
China Huiyuan Juice Group Ltd has acquired the entire equity of Suntory Shanghai Foods Co Ltd and a 50 percent interest in Suntory (Shanghai) Foods Marketing Co from Suntory China for 117.7 million yuan ($18.8 million) to tap into the tea and coffee beverage market in China. After the deal, Suntory will become a joint venture formed by Huiyuan and Suntory Foods Marketing Co with Suntory China and Beijing Huiyuan.
