Blast goes off at Urumqi rail station

An explosion occurred at a railway station in Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on Wednesday evening.
The blast happened at around 7 pm Beijing time on Wednesday at the exit of the South Railway Station of Urumqi, Xinhua News Agency said.
The number of casualties remains unclear and People's Daily reported on its microblog that there were injuries.
