Contest gives budding inventors a boost

A national youth innovation and creation contest started in Beijing on April 25, one day before World IP Day.

"Young people are a dynamic force to driving innovation," said Ji Mengxin, an official at the Communist Youth League Work Committee of the central government.

"Through the event, we hope to foster their creative awareness, deepen their understanding of our national innovation-driven development strategy and encourage them to play a leading role in increasing inventions nationwide," Ji said.
