Buzzword: "Peekaboo" is when you hide your eyes and then slowly reveal them, producing laughter from a baby. One theory on why babies enjoy peekaboo is that they are surprised when things return to view after being hidden. It helps them to test and retest a fundamental principle of existence - that items still exist even when invisible.
