Four govt micro blogs get blacklisted

By An Baijie and Cao Yin | China Daily | Updated: 2014-04-29 08:55

The micro blogs of four government agencies were blacklisted on Monday by China's most popular micro-blogging service for failing to provide sufficient information or interact with residents.

It was the first time that Sina Weibo has issued such a list, saying the administrative accounts listed were often dormant, and the information provided rarely related to local residents.

The micro blog accounts, all run by local departments, seldom disclosed new information or responded to the public, the company said.
