Business management education in China has been developing rapidly but still follows the traditional form for the field, foreign specialists said.
It does not offer enough class communication, leadership, teamwork or self-initiative, which are the skills multinational companies pay attention to, they said.
Roland Siegers, chairman of CEMS Global Alliance for Management Education, a cooperation of business schools and enterprises, mentioned this earlier this month while attending the 30th anniversary celebration of Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management, which was founded in 1984. The monthlong celebration included a series of forums and discussions with management educators and entrepreneurs.
