Officers accused of extorting confession

Two cases involving at least four Chongqing policemen suspected of extorting confessions by torture and assault will go to court late this month, the Zhengzhou Times reported on Friday. One of the alleged forced confessions occurred in July 2011. The victim, Lyu Jian chairman of Chongqing Daye Concrete, suffered serious injuries to both arms.
