A smart medical kit set for release in October will provide Chinese households with a new approach to cheaper medicines and more convenient healthcare services.
Developed by Xi'an-based Shiqiang Corp, the fourth-generation product is the result of more than 10 years of efforts by some 40 technicians. A fifth generation is now under review and testing.
With support from the local government, the design won an innovation award at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. It is now covered by two utility model patents and two design patents.
