Beijing vows to continue joint search

China will continue to work with Australia, Malaysia and other countries to focus its search efforts for the Malaysia Airlines jetliner in line with the latest developments, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

"All sides are making great efforts in the search, but it is unfortunate that there are no findings so far. We will continue to coordinate our efforts," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said.

His comments followed media reports that the underwater autonomous vehicle looking for flight MH370 in the Indian Ocean is expected to complete its initial mission as early as Wednesday.
