143 cases of frugality violations made public

The nation announced 143 cases of corruption on Monday in which officials were punished for violating the Party's frugality rules. The officials were found guilty of misbehavior, including hosting lavish banquets at public expense, using government vehicles for private purposes and drinking alcohol at lunch on workdays, according to the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
