Families upset by no-show

China Daily | Updated: 2014-04-22 07:17

Family members of the Chinese passengers have continued to criticize the Malaysian government and airline for their handling of the incident.

Wang Guanyi, a representative of the families, said several representatives of the Malaysian government had promised to send another high-level delegation with technical experts to answer their questions at Beijing's Metropark Lido Hotel on Monday. But no such delegation showed up at the news briefing scheduled for 2 pm.

Malaysian Charge d'affaires to China, Bala Chandran Tharman, apologized and said representatives of the Malaysian government and airlines would arrive in Beijing within 24 to 48 hours.
