Beijing Two provinces on alert for forest fires

Authorities issued a red alert on Wednesday, the most serious, for forest fires in two southwestern provinces. Sichuan and Yunnan provinces face a high risk of forest fires in the next three days as drought conditions persist, the State Headquarters for Forest Fire Control said in a statement. The two provinces have already seen several forest fires in recent days.
