Shanghai to attract global students with new app

Shanghai launched a new English-language website and a mobile app on Friday in the city's latest effort to attract more international students and promote one of Asia's most popular study destinations.

The app, "Study in Shanghai", represents the first social media platform of its kind in the country. It was jointly created, along with the website, by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and China Daily.

The English website, en.study-shanghai.org, provides clear, easily accessible content and a user-friendly design to shine a light on Shanghai's excellent schools and provide the latest news from campuses around the city.
