Technology brings it all back home

The making of his new film Home Coming has revolutionized his understanding of art and technology, says director Zhang Yimou.

"I have felt that the infusion of Internet, technology and art will create a brilliant future, which will change our minds and lives," the 61-year-director of the Beijing Olympics' opening ceremony told a news conference.

"As a film director, I realized the importance of technology for the first time," he says. "We say that art is to depict human emotion, it does a much better job when enforced by technology and the Internet."
