Jinan-Sacramento ties win youth award

Capitals have been sister cities for three decades

Shandong's capital Jinan and Sacramento, capital of California, have won the 2014 US-China Sister Cities Youth Exchange Award for their contribution in boosting people-to-people ties over the past three decades.

Given by Sister Cities International and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the award was announced after consideration of a competitive pool of sister-city applicants.
