Ctrip.com International Ltd, the nation's largest online travel agency, said on Monday that its website is safe and that a reported loophole had been fixed within two hours.
"Ctrip.com will take responsibility and make compensation if any user experiences a loss because of the loophole in the future," Ctrip.com said in a statement.
WooYun.org, a third-party platform used by security researchers to report vulnerabilities, said on March 22 that consumers' payment information on Ctrip.com - including identification card numbers and credit card information - could be downloaded by third parties.
