President Xi's visit to Western Europe: Two Royal Netherlands Air Force fighter jets took off and escorted President Xi's special plane after it entered the airspace of the Netherlands. "It is rare that a host country supplies a fighter escort, which is considered a highly courteous reception," said Lu Peixin, former acting head of the Protocol Department of the Foreign Ministry.
