Don't waste food, campaign urges

A campaign will be launched against food waste, according to a notice issued by the General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council, Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday. Economical buffets, instead of banquets, should be provided for people attending meetings or training events paid for with public money. Restaurants are also banned from setting minimum consumption, according to the notice. It added that those who don't waste food at the dining table should be recognized.
