Bus catches fire on Qianmen Street
A bus caught fire at about 10 am Monday on Qianmen Street, the main east-west road just south of Tian'anmen Square. No one was injured. The driver and conductor on Bus No 44 immediately evacuated the vehicle when the fire started. Police and firefighters later blocked the street until the blaze was extinguished. Traffic resumed at 10:40 am. The reason for the fire was under investigation.
