Family members try to piece together mystery of flight

By China Daily | China Daily | Updated: 2014-03-15 08:01

Wang Jun, a farmer from Dingzhou, Hebei province, would have never left his hometown, if his 30-year-old son, Yongzi, had not been on the missing MH370 flight.

At Metropark Lido Hotel in Beijing, Wang lay down in a corner. Years of hard farming work have made it hard for him to stand up. On the flight, there were eight passengers from Wang's hometown, who sought to make more money by going overseas to work, and his son was one of them.

Yongzi promised to call his father in Beijing after landing safely, which was supposed to happen on the morning of March 8, but the phone never rang.
