The number of people in China drinking unsafe water, a Ministry of Environmental Protection report said on Friday. It surveyed 91,527 permanent residents aged 18 and over in 31 provincial-level regions. There are 110 million Chinese living within 1 km from at least one polluting industrial site, such as petrochemical, coking or thermal power plants, it showed.
