Advisory body pledges support

China's top political advisory body pledged on Sunday it would make solid contributions to the country's ongoing reform process.

"The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference fully supports the central leading team on overall reforms headed by President Xi Jinping," Lyu Xinhua, spokesman for the annual session of the CPPCC National Committee, said at a news conference.

Lyu said the CPPCC National Committee will pay great attention to advice offered by its special committees, comprised of leading experts in various fields, to help deliver China's wide-ranging reform plans outlined during the Third Plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
