Canadian rocker comes to capital

China Daily | Updated: 2014-02-28 08:24

Canada's queen of rock Avril Lavigne has launched her 2014 China tour, which covers eight cities in 19 days. One of the West's most popular stars, the singer will perform all her hits from over the years, such as Complicated and Girlfriend, and new songs from her new self-titled album, including Let Me Go-a powerful ballad duet with her husband, Chad Kroeger of the rock band Nickelback. Lavigne, who turns 30 next year, became a breakout star in 2002 with her big-selling album Let Go. In her recent soldout shows in Shanghai and Guangzhou, the blonde singer proved that she had matured as a performer while sustaining her passion.

8 pm, March 2. MasterCard Center, 69 Fuxing Lu (Road), Haidian district, Beijing. 400-610-3721.
