Companies scour apps for recruits

Companies are turning to popular social networking apps, such as WeChat, to find potential employees, but some firms and job seekers are warning of risks.

"Our boss is well connected on WeChat, and he has thousands of friends on his platform," said Zhao Can, assistant CEO of Future PI, a Beijing company that provides business management services.

"After he released our recruitment information, thousands of people were informed and some chose to re-post. The information gets to a wide audience and what's more important, it is free."
