Innovative artistic lighting is in vogue, and Beijing Solana Shopping Mall recently flicked the switch of its very own Festival of Lights. This year, the magic of colorful lights has turned the entire shopping mall into a set from outer space, featuring scenes from sci-fi movies, such as Star Wars and Transformers. The light installation evokes scenes of large spaceships, crystal stairs, time tunnels and a Ferris wheel. This is the sixth year the shopping mall has hosted a festival of this kind. The festival runs to the end of February.
