Proprietary tech ownership up

The national rate of invention patent ownership per 10,000 people had reached 4.02 by the end of last year, according to a recent meeting for intellectual property officials nationwide. Patent pledge totaled 25.4 billion yuan ($4.2 billion) in 2013, up 80 percent year-on-year. And some 530 companies used patent insurance to protect their 1,855 patents, with combined value of 6.4 million yuan.
