Surgical sweep of Federer sets up Sunday showdown with Wawrinka

Rafael Nadal extended his mastery over long-time rival Roger Federer on Friday night as he stormed into Sunday's Australian Open final against Stanislas Wawrinka.

Nadal, the top seed, defeated the 17-time Grand Slam champion 7-6 (4), 6-3, 6-3 in a dominant semifinal win lasting two hours and 24 minutes at Rod Laver Arena.
