By Zhang Kun | China Daily | Updated: 2014-01-24 07:34

American band Periphery will give its debut concert in China. Formed by guitarist Misha Mansoor in 2005, the Maryland-based Djent-style six-piece group named Periphery is best known for their progressive sound constructed on polyrhythmic patterns. Its self-titled, full-length debut was released in 2010. Periphery II: This Time it's Personal was released in 2012. This time they invited Wes Hauch (the Faceless) and John Petrucci (Dream Theater) to stop by the studio to contribute several jaw-dropping solos.

8 pm, Feb 14. Q-House, Shanghai Qianshuiwan Culture and Art Center, 79 Yichang Lu (Road). 021-6266-3190.
