US accusations groundless

Countries around the South China Sea should not be deceived by the United States' supposedly helping hand in the region, says a Xinhua News Agency commentary.
On Thursday, the United States again stuck its oar in the South China Sea by pointing an accusing finger at China's new fishing regulations. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told a news briefing that the regulations were "provocative and potentially dangerous".
Washington's accusations are unreasonable, as China's fishing regulations are in line with international practice and aimed at strengthening the protection of fishery resources and the marine environment. The United States has similar ones.
