Love story gets a femme fatale

Actor Chen Sicheng's directorial debut Beijing Love Story has announced actress Yu Nan will be part of the cast. Yu, who has starred in many Chinese art-house films including Tuya's Marriage and Lunar Eclipse, plays a femme fatale. The film is based on a TV drama directed by Chen in 2010. The 36-year-old graduate of the Central Academy of Drama also wrote the script and starred in the series. In the big screen version, Chen acts opposite his wife Tong Liya as a young couple struggling for their own happiness while living the fast-paced Beijing lifestyle. The film will premiere on Feb 14.
