Funds for short films

China's first copyright investment and financing center for short, low-budget films was recently established during an international festival. Founded by the Beijing International Copyright Trade Center and a local media company, the center will help at least 10 small film companies solve financing problems with an annual fund of more than 50 million yuan ($8.2 million). More than 1,000 short movies and 300 scripts were submitted to the festival held at Peking University.
