Govt must ensure sustainable growth

Comment on "Change of government role is key to reform" (China Daily, Nov 4)

The Chinese government can act as protector of people's interests, as well as and their educator. It should stay as lean as possible and facilitate sustainable growth of the economy for the benefit of the people. The government's key objectives should be to protect individual property and rights, and guarantee the sustainable growth of society and efficient governance.
