Vitali vacates championship

Vitali Klitschko has given up his World Boxing Council heavyweight title but was named "champion emeritus" on Monday, leaving the door open for the Ukraine politician to one day return to the ring. But Klitschko is unlikely to box again as he has joined thousands of protesters in weeks-long demonstrations against the government in Kiev. The 42-year-old has a record of 45-2 with 41 wins by KO.
