Wonderful salute to charities

Actress Hai Qing was appointed as an ambassador for the World of Wonder, a gala hosted by Huanqiu.com to celebrate the achievements of a number of charity programs in China. Among those honored as Wonderful Charity Programs 2013 are Dialogue in the Dark, which raises awareness of and cares for blind people; Free Lunch for Children, a project to provide free food for poor children; and Doctors Without Borders, the medical-assistance NGO. It is the second time the website, known for its coverage of politics and international affairs, has hosted such an event.
