Company Special: Wuliangye Group: Nature, nurture and Ming-era cellars

By Zhuan Ti | China Daily | Updated: 2013-11-22 07:52

Surrounded by rivers and cascading mountains, liquor giant Wuliangye Group is located in Yibin, one of the most beautiful cities in southwestern Sichuan province.

If not told otherwise, visitors can easily mistake the company's production site for another attraction in the city. Wuliangye pays great attention to protecting the natural environment and its historic facilities, said an employee of the company.

"That's because they both have a huge impact on the taste and the quality of the liquor we produce," he added.
