Xi touts South African ties

Sino-South African relations have a significant effect on relations between China and the African continent as a whole, and bilateral ties are also important for world development and stability, President Xi Jinping said. Xi made the remarks as he met visiting South African Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe in Beijing on Monday. Xi noted that China and South Africa both are major developing countries and emerging markets in the world, and he urged the two countries to enhance bilateral cooperation and promote the greater development of Sino-African relations.
