Closure the top concern
The dysfunctional United States government has become the country's biggest problem, with one-third of US citizens expressing disappointment over the shutdown, a survey released on Wednesday shows.
The survey, conducted by Gallup, found that about 33 percent of citizens were unhappy with the government and Congress due to the impact of the government shutdown and the debt ceiling debate. It is the highest percentage reported by Gallup since 1939.
The government partially shut down on Oct 1 when Congress could not agree on the budget.
The economy has become the second-biggest concern, with 19 percent dissatisfied. Other top-ranking problems include unemployment, the deficit and healthcare.
