Chengdu is set to become a biomedicine center in western China now that international developers are recognizing the city's growing appeal to international players.
Industrial basses like the Sino-Singapore (Chengdu) Innovation Park, or SSCIP for short, are laying a solid foundation for this emerging high-tech industry.
"The park will focus on attracting more biomedicine industry firms to make it an international platform for R&D and innovation," Low Sin-Leng, chairwoman of the Sino-Singapore (Chengdu) Innovation Park Development Co Ltd, told an audience of up to 100, mostly from Singapore, at the 12th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, which opened in Chengdu on Wednesday.
