Zhuzhou, best known as China's "capital of electric trains", has now become an ideal location for startup companies, according to the local government.
There are 45 engineering technology centers, 337 professional markets and 48 colleges in the city focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Projects currently under construction include a power plant with a 600,000-kilowatt capacity and a university town that will provide around 100,000 graduates to local companies each year when it is complete.
