Jinxian Special: County of abundance counts its blessings

Jinxian lives up to its name with thriving industry and natural resources, writes Zhuan Ti.

In Chinese, the word "Jinxian" means "a place that attracts people of great talents and high morality". The county of Jinxian in Jiangxi province, is renowned because one of Confucius' favorite disciples used to give lectures here. Over the 1,700 years of its history, the county has brought forth a great number of pre-eminent poets and philosophers in China.

Jinxian enjoys fantastic air quality, thanks largely to the forests that cover 40.8 percent of its land. The Junshan Lake, measuring 213 square kilometers, surrounded by green mountains and inhabited by swans, offers great natural resources for ecological tourism.
