Dalian, a leading city in Liaoning province, has witnessed rapid development in recent years and has benefited from the development and opening-up of the Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt.

Surrounded by the sea in three directions, Dalian's coastline runs for 1,371 kilometers and accounts for 65 percent of Liaoning's total coastline.
