Former premier donates $163,000
One million yuan ($163,000) in royalties from former premier Zhu Rongji was donated recently to students, people.com reported on Friday. The donation was used to support the less well-off students and their teachers in the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao autonomous prefecture. Zhu said that he would not keep even a coin when his book Zhu Rongji Meets the Press was published in January 2009 and would donate all royalties.
