China Daily | Updated: 2013-08-28 07:54

A government agency that specializes in protecting State secrets has partnered with a major shipping company to protect a different kind of customer in China - the online shopper.

Shanghai-based STO Express Co Ltd has agreed on a deal with the National Administration for the Protection of State Secrets to prevent information of customers from being leaked or stolen.

As part of the deal, the administration's branch in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, will destroy waybills that contain a customer's personal information for packages that have not been accounted for.
