The minimum monthly salary set by Shanghai for this year, the highest in China, according to a report in Beijing Times on Friday. Altogether, 22 provinces and autonomous regions have raised their minimum wage standards this year, it said, quoting the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Beijing and the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region top the list for highest minimum hourly wages, at 15.2 yuan ($2.47).
