The mudslide-hit Beijing-Guangzhou Railway has been repaired, and northbound train runs will gradually resume, the central railway authority said on Sunday.
The railway suspended multiple runs on Saturday, stranding tens of thousands of passengers.
Guangzhou Railway Corp said on its micro-blog account that the mudslide-hit rail line was fixed after more than 20 hours, but northbound train service from Guangzhou Railway Station would not resume on Sunday night.
