Traffic wreck kills 16, injures 10 in Jiangxi

Sixteen people were killed and 10 injured in a traffic accident on Tuesday in Nanfeng, Jiangxi province, the county government said on Wednesday.

At about 8:40 pm, a vehicle carrying 28 people from Jianning county, Fujian province, rolled over in sharp curve on a mountain road along the Jiangxi-Fujian border.

The local government organized more than 500 rescue workers, including police, firefighters and doctors to respond to the accident.
