Top: A restaurant in Qingdao, Shandong province, has started serving algae dishes as authorities are struggling to remove them from coastal waters. The restaurant invented seven ways of cooking algae, including fried algae with eggs, algae nuts and algae duck soup. Above: Boarder-control police in Qingdao continued their cleanup of the algae that overwhelmed the beaches and coastal waters on Thursday.
