Hot ladies turn pink for the big screen

What's new

Renowned Taiwan author Zhu Deyong has had his book adapted for the big screen for the first time. Pink Ladies, based on Zhu's Hot Ladies, a smash hit novel about four women juggling romance and careers, stars Taiwan TV hostess Aya Liu and mainland actress Zhang Xinyu. Zhu made his name in the 1990s in the mainland and Taiwan for his comic books that depicted the sometimes uneasy relationships between men and women through witty caricatures. Taiwan director Derek Wu directs the film. Wu also directed a successful TV drama version of the book in 2002. The film will premiere in August.
