Jet Li's police buddy comedy hits big screen
Kung fu star Jet Li's new film Badges of Fury has grossed 100 million yuan ($15 million) one week after its June 21 premiere. The film is Li's return to the big screen after Flying Sword of Dragon Gate in 2011. Starring rising mainland actor Wen Zhang, it tells the story of two policemen's hilarious adventures when investigating a serial killer. Li's star power attracted a number of celebrities, who made cameo appearances in the film, such as actor Huang Xiaoming, star diver Tian Liang and Miss China World Zhang Zilin.
